Customer Engagement:
- Ensures all guests receive top-notch service and attention.
- Displays confidence in making wine recommendations.
- Seizes sales opportunities while prioritizing guest enjoyment.
- Collaborates with restaurant staff to foster a positive dining atmosphere.
- Welcomes guests and addresses all inquiries.
- Notifies team members when tables require assistance and aids them in serving their guests.
- Possesses in-depth knowledge of the menu, with the ability to offer suggestions.
- Monitors guest satisfaction and takes corrective action when necessary.
Departmental Duties:
- Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the wine list.
- Acts as a professional and valued team member, demonstrating a flexible approach to enhancing customer experiences.
- Arrives punctually for scheduled shifts and adheres to company policies regarding attendance.
- Ensures wine inventory levels are maintained and follows proper ordering protocols.
- Keeps the wine storage area organized and clean.
- Monitors the availability and condition of all necessary equipment, keeping management informed of any requirements.
- Ensures all wine lists are accurate and current in collaboration with management.
- Responsible for conducting and maintaining monthly wine inventory.
- Treats company assets with care and respect.
- Participates in meetings and training sessions as directed by management.
- Remains informed about current regulations concerning hygiene, licensing, weights, and measures applicable to the restaurant.
- Adheres to and maintains established cleaning protocols.
- Maintains focus and stays on task.
Qualifications:
Experience as a Wine Steward: 2 years (Preferred)
Experience in Upscale Fine Dining: 2 years (Required)
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
Additional Experience:
Wine Steward: 2 years (Preferred)
Fine Dining Experience: 3 years (Preferred)
Inventory Management: 1 year (Preferred)
