Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and mitigate medication-related problems, including therapeutic duplication, drug-drug interactions, and adverse reactions.
  • Monitor patient response to therapy and provide accurate drug information to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop and implement pharmacy protocols, such as heparin and warfarin management, and lead quality improvement projects.
  • Act as a resource in medication safety, drug shortages, and formulary changes, and lead development of pharmacy services in a specialty area.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate in Pharmacy.
  • Certifications: Pharmacist licensure in South Dakota, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
  • Work Experience: 3+ years of hospital experience, 3+ years of clinical experience, and 1+ year of pharmaceutical experience.
