Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the antimicrobial stewardship program, ensuring clinical and microbiological effectiveness of antimicrobials.
  • Collaborate with the System Clinical Pharmacy Manager, staff pharmacists, medical staff, and other healthcare workers to achieve program goals.
  • Provide education to prescribers on therapeutically efficacious and cost-effective therapy.
  • Monitor and report on program outcomes, including antimicrobial use, resistance patterns, and patient outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain clinical pathways, protocols, policies, and procedures related to antimicrobial therapy.
  • Provide advanced education to students, residents, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
  • PharmD degree or equivalent.
  • Current licensure as a pharmacist in the state of practice.
  • Experience in clinical pharmacy practice, preferably in antimicrobial stewardship.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop reports.
  • Knowledge of antimicrobial therapy, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics.
