About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care and support to a variety of complex patients, under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Assist with patient-related tasks, such as vital sign checks, phlebotomy, and EKGs.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting patient satisfaction and comfort.
  • Participate in patient safety initiatives and performance improvement activities.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Completion of a Patient Care Technician program or equivalent medical background experience
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs
  • Strong sense of accountability for improving patient outcomes
  • Exceptional focus on teamwork and dedication to ongoing education
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience or certification in phlebotomy and EKG
  • At least one year of PCT or CNA experience in a hospital setting
Licenses and Certifications
  • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification
