We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health - 30 Prospect Avenue. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Registered Nurses in the care of patients, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction and safety.
- Perform Essential Job Functions as listed, including welcoming patients, preparing patients for assessment and procedures, and assisting with patient transport.
- Provide Direct Hygiene and Comfort Care to patients, including bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, and incontinent care.
- Take Vital Signs on admission and document accordingly, notifying the RN of results and assisting with admission as needed.
- Collect and Document Specimens as directed, including glucose finger sticks and daily patient weights.
- Provide a Safe Patient Environment by answering call lights promptly and communicating with the RN immediately for any change in the patient's condition.
- 1 Year of Experience in a healthcare setting is required.
- PCT with EKG and Phlebotomy Experience is preferred.
