Job Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Student Financial Aid Counselor to join the Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) Financial Aid Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support for the processing of financial aid and counseling services for all students enrolled in academic programs at RBHS.
- Develop and implement financial aid award packages using established federal, state, and university policies.
- Conduct thorough financial aid eligibility assessments using the latest online technology and maintain accurate records of financial aid accounts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least one year of professional experience in student financial aid.
- Equivalent experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with networked mainframe and PC systems.
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Work Environment:
- Office environment with moderate noise levels.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
