We are currently looking for a committed and service-focused Housekeeping Room Specialist to enhance our team at our hotel.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred: At least one (1) year of relevant experience.
Physical Demands:
  • Medium lifting capabilities - occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, and frequently or constantly lifting up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, stoop, and navigate stairs.
  • Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Availability for evening and weekend shifts is necessary.
General Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective, friendly, and service-oriented interactions with guests and team members.
  • Ability to actively listen and address concerns raised by management and guests.
  • Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills to meet departmental objectives.
  • Approach all interactions with guests and staff in a courteous and attentive manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance as per the hotel's scheduling requirements.
  • Exhibit high standards of personal grooming and appearance, including wearing the designated uniform and name tag.
  • Adhere to Company and Choice Hotel Standards to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving abilities, including anticipating and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Thoroughly clean guest rooms in accordance with Company and Choice Hotel Standards.
  • Complete all pre-cleaning tasks, including preparing guest supplies and cleaning materials.
  • Remove all waste and soiled linens from guest rooms and hallways.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in hallways, public areas, and storage closets through regular cleaning and tidying.
  • Restock housekeeping carts for the following day’s use.
  • Refill chemical containers and ensure proper labeling.
  • Report any missing items from guest rooms to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Promptly report maintenance issues to management using the designated work order system.
  • Handle lost and found items according to Company policies.
  • Consistently exhibit attentiveness, friendliness, and courtesy towards all guests and colleagues.
Guest Engagement:
  • Respect guest privacy and adhere to established Company protocols when entering guest rooms.
  • Provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all guests, in line with company standards.
  • Promptly and responsibly address immediate guest requests.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow Company safety and security policies, as well as comply with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
  • Report and store lost-and-found items according to Company and Choice Hotel procedures.
