Job Overview

The South Sioux City Marriott Riverfront is seeking a dedicated Guestroom Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in our accommodations. This role is vital in delivering exceptional service to our guests by maintaining immaculate and welcoming rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms post-cleaning to ensure they meet cleanliness standards.
  • Identify and report any damaged linens or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document lost and found items and communicate maintenance concerns to a supervisor.
  • Prepare rooms for incoming guests and accommodate special requests as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of room status on assigned work sheets.
  • Perform cleaning tasks in vacated rooms, including changing linens, vacuuming, sweeping, and dusting, adhering to hotel standards.
  • Possess knowledge of Marriott Brand Standards or demonstrate a willingness to learn.
  • Collaborate with team members to address any discrepancies and ensure consistency in service.
  • Assist in the quarterly inventory process.
  • Support the Executive Housekeeper with various daily operations, including creating housekeeping boards, managing inventory orders, and participating in team meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in housekeeping is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Professional appearance is required (uniform will be provided).
  • Experience in customer service is beneficial.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Capability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is necessary.
