Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Loan Processing Clerk to join our team at Regent Bank. As a key member of our Commercial Lending department, you will play a crucial role in preparing loan requests, working closely with lenders, borrowers, and credit administration staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and send internal loan checklists to centralized processing for loan documents to be generated.
  • Order title work, appraisals, flood determinations, UCC searches, and Environmental reports as needed.
  • Review loan applications to verify data completeness and compliance requirements.
  • Work with title companies to schedule loan closings and clear title issues.
  • Assist lenders in obtaining necessary information from borrowers.
  • Review closing documents prior to funding, confirming proper vesting, legal descriptions, and insurance.
  • Upload documentation and create electronic files for loan imaging.
  • Provide administrative support to loan officers and staff.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One to three years of commercial banking experience preferred.
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to work under pressure.
  • Working knowledge of loan programs, types, and mortgage terminology.
  • Familiarity with compliance rules and regulations (Reg B, RESPA, Reg Z, Fair Lending, etc.).
Working Conditions

The ideal candidate will be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently. Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25lbs is required. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Sitting for long periods is common. The work environment is generally comfortable with minimal noise, heat, dust, and other problems.
