We are seeking a Senior Engineer in Power Electronics for EV Solutions to contribute to our Electrical Wiring Systems division. This role involves the innovative design and development of electric vehicle charging systems, guiding projects from initial concept through to production. The successful candidate will evaluate external designs and provide technical support for existing products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive research and development efforts in the EV charging domain.
  • Design, construct, and troubleshoot advanced power electronic systems, focusing on high-power switching applications.
  • Collaborate with software teams and external partners to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software, adhering to industry standards.
  • Create PCB layouts for power electronic circuits and systems.
  • Support marketing initiatives by analyzing product requirements and reviewing competitive offerings.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in engineering, project management, and product development focused on circuit and PCB design for high-voltage applications.

Essential Skills:

  • Deep understanding of power electronics, including converters, inverters, and power semiconductor devices.
  • Proficiency in designing switching circuits with an emphasis on stability through layout and component selection.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for EV charging systems, ensuring compliance and safety.
  • Ability to conduct power system studies and perform firmware validation testing.
  • Knowledge of the National Electric Code and UL Standards.
  • Experience in developing project plans, identifying milestones, and managing timelines effectively.
  • Competence in circuit or schematic design, with a preference for Altium or similar PCB design tools.
  • Strong documentation skills for creating detailed product specifications.
  • Experience in vendor management for electronics manufacturing.
