About the Role: The Patient Care Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering outstanding service by warmly welcoming patients and ensuring the seamless execution of all check-in and checkout procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

- Greet patients, clients, and visitors with a friendly demeanor as they enter the facility.
- Professionally handle and respond to phone inquiries in a timely manner.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently.
- Collect and verify patient and insurance details.
- Accurately enter patient demographics into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, ensuring completeness.
- Confirm vision and medical insurance information and input it into the EMR.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of various insurance plans and effectively communicate this information to patients.
- Review schedules to verify insurance eligibility prior to appointments and ensure that all files are organized.
- Prepare and submit insurance claims, generating reports to confirm all charges are processed.
- Print and organize necessary forms for patient visits.
- Collect and document all fees, co-pays, and payments in the EMR.
- Allocate balances to insurance providers as required.
- Keep a tidy workspace at all times.
- Utilize time, equipment, and supplies efficiently.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.


Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic proficiency in computer operations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and practice information.
