Customer Accounts Specialist

This is a full-time, hybrid position with a competitive hourly rate of $19.08. As a Customer Accounts Specialist at Life EMS Ambulance, you will play a vital role in ensuring excellent responsiveness to customer inquiries regarding payment, insurance, membership, and general information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer patient inquiries via phone or in-person, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Verify insurance coverage via insurance websites or phone calls to insurance companies.
  • Research returned mail to make necessary changes to correct patient insurance and/or demographics.
  • Enter patient correspondence into the patient account.
  • Provide support for the yearly membership renewal and application process.
  • Ensure daily customer happiness and follow HIPAA guidelines at all times to protect customer PHI.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum of one year of previous customer service experience.
  • Ability to type 40 WPM.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and basic typing skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must pass all Life EMS pre-employment requirements.
