JOB PURPOSE:

Oversees the daily operations of the nursing facility in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing long-term care centers, while ensuring optimal care for our residents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain current knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to nursing facility operationsUnderstand licensing and reimbursement programs, general business practices, nursing practices, resident care psychology, personal care, social services, and environmental health and safety relevant to nursing operationsDevelop operational strategies to meet facility goals within established budgets and timelinesProvide practical training in nursing facility operations, departmental organization, and community resourcesRepresent the facility's interests to community stakeholders, advocacy groups, and government agenciesApply professional standards to nursing facility operations and establish criteria to ensure quality careDemonstrate proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and resource allocationFormulate and implement administrative policies and procedures that align with the center's mission and comply with applicable lawsUphold the rights, dignity, and individuality of each resident in all interactionsExhibit competency in protecting and promoting resident rights, serving as a role model for staffFollow written and verbal instructions accurately and communicate effectively in both oral and written formsEngage effectively with staff, other professionals, consultants, and residents in an interdisciplinary care environmentFulfill all responsibilities in alignment with the center's mission and philosophyMaintain confidentiality of resident and facility informationExhibit honesty and integrity in all aspects of resident care and facility operationsQualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field is required

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is required, with a working knowledge of operational standards as outlined in federal regulations

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Must hold a valid Nursing Home Administrator license in the state of employment

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)

Master's Degree in a related field is preferred
