JOB OBJECTIVE:

Oversees the daily operations of the nursing facility in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing long-term care facilities, while ensuring optimal care for our residents.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal regulations governing nursing facilitiesUnderstand licensing and reimbursement programs, business operations, nursing practices, resident care psychology, personal care, social services, and environmental health and safety related to nursing facility managementDevelop operational strategies to meet facility goals within budgetary constraints and timelinesPractical experience in nursing facility operations, departmental organization, community resources, and stakeholder relationshipsApply professional standards to nursing facility operations and establish criteria to ensure quality careExhibit proficiency in financial oversight, budgeting, and resource allocationCreate and implement administrative policies that align with the facility's mission and comply with applicable laws and regulationsUphold the rights, dignity, and individuality of each resident in all interactions and serve as a role model for staffFollow written and verbal instructions effectively and communicate clearly in both oral and written formsEngage effectively with staff, other professionals, consultants, and residents in an interdisciplinary care environmentPerform all responsibilities in alignment with the facility's mission and philosophyRecognize the importance of maintaining confidentiality regarding resident and facility informationDemonstrate integrity and honesty in all aspects of resident care and facility managementQualifications:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field is essential

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory role within a hospital or long-term care facility is required. Familiarity with operational standards outlined in the Federal Register and state or federal regulations is necessary

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must hold a valid Nursing Home Administrator license in the state of employment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A Master's Degree in a related field is preferred
