**Job Summary and Qualifications**

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator at LewisGale Medical Center ensures high-quality patient-centered care and coordinates all unit functions during the designated shift. In collaboration with management, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality care.
  • Participates in ongoing assessment of patient care services and collaborates with subject matter experts to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Supports patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
  • Operationalizes current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds.
  • Recommends related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required.
  • 1 year RN acute care experience is required.
