Job Summary

The University of Michigan is seeking a skilled Orthoptist to join our team at the Kellogg Eye Center. As an Orthoptist, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of visual defects and oculomotor movement disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer Orthoptic and diagnostic tests to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of visual defects and oculomotor movement disorders.
  • Teach patients how to develop and use binocular vision, instruct and direct patients during treatment and therapy.
  • Operate and coordinate the maintenance of Orthoptic lanes within the pediatric ophthalmology clinic.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited training center program.
  • Certification by the American Orthoptic Council.
  • Strong teamwork abilities and willingness to work in varied locations in and around Ann Arbor, MI.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years of work experience as an orthoptist.
  • Previous experience using an EHR.
