Key Responsibilities:

  • Eligibility and Enrollment: Oversee the eligibility determination and enrollment processes to ensure compliance with Head Start performance standards and regulations.
  • Record Management: Ensure timely and accurate processing of applications and maintenance of up-to-date records.
  • Recruitment Strategies: Lead the development and execution of recruitment strategies to attract and enroll eligible families.
  • Community Partnerships: Coordinate with community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to enhance program visibility and outreach.
  • Selection Process: Supervise the selection process to ensure it is conducted fairly and in accordance with program policies.
  • Selection Criteria: Review and approve selection criteria and processes to meet program goals and performance standards.
  • Attendance Monitoring: Oversee monitoring of attendance records and implement strategies to address attendance issues.
  • Family Support: Develop and implement plans to support families in overcoming barriers to consistent attendance.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and support ERSEA staff, including providing training, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering professional development.
  • Team Meetings: Facilitate regular team meetings to review performance, discuss challenges, and share best practices.
  • Data Management: Ensure accurate and confidential management of ERSEA data and records.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on ERSEA activities, including enrollment, recruitment, and attendance data, to federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Compliance: Ensure all ERSEA activities adhere to Head Start regulations, performance standards, and other relevant policies.
  • Process Audits: Conduct regular audits of ERSEA processes and documentation to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Head Start Program Director, other program managers, and community partners to support program goals.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with families, staff, and community stakeholders to address concerns and promote the program.
Parent, Family and Community Engagement (PFCE)
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies and programs to enhance parent, family, and community engagement in alignment with Head Start's PFCE framework.
  • Program Development: Create and oversee activities and workshops that support family development, parenting skills, and community involvement.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong, supportive relationships with families to promote active participation in their child's education and overall program activities.
  • Family Support: Provide guidance and resources to families to support their child's development and well-being.
  • Referrals: Address family needs and concerns, providing referrals to additional services as necessary.
  • Partnerships: Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations, agencies, and stakeholders to enhance program services and resources.
  • Event Coordination: Collaborate with local organizations to coordinate community events, outreach activities, and service referrals.
  • Staff Training: Train and support Head Start staff in effective family engagement strategies and practices.
  • Professional Development: Facilitate workshops and professional development opportunities for staff and families on topics related to family engagement and community involvement.
  • Data Collection: Collect, analyze, and report data related to family engagement, program participation, and community partnerships.
  • Evaluation: Use data to evaluate the effectiveness of PFCE activities and identify areas for improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure that PFCE activities comply with Head Start performance standards and other relevant regulations.
  • Review and Evaluation: Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of PFCE strategies and practices to ensure they meet program goals and standards.
  • Communication: Develop and disseminate communication materials to keep families informed about program activities, services, and opportunities.
  • Event Planning: Organize and lead family and community events to foster engagement and strengthen relationships.
  • Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the PFCE team, including setting goals, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Integration: Collaborate with other program managers and staff to integrate PFCE strategies into all aspects of the Head Start program.
Engagement and Partnerships
  • Parent Engagement: Plan and implement meaningful parent engagement opportunities in collaboration and partnership with the ERSEA Coordinator and Family Advocates.
  • Parent Meetings: Attend Parent Meetings.
  • Culturally Responsive Relationships: Build respectful, culturally responsive, and trusting relationships with families and community.

  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other relevant responsibilities as required by the program or assigned by supervisor.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and welcoming office environment.
  • Respectful Workplace: Model the respectful workplace policy when interacting with Paladin clients, community members, and colleagues.
  • Responsibilities: Must be responsible, able to handle confidential material, able to organize effectively and able to work independently.
  • Positive Image: Assure that a positive image of Paladin is always portrayed.
  • Training and Development: Training responsibilities include providing training and technical assistance to HS staff.
  • Driver's License and Insurance: Maintain current, valid driver's license and liability insurance always on any personal vehicle used to conduct Paladin business.
  • CPR and First Aid: Obtain and keep current Adult and Pediatric CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Professional Development: Complete 15 credit hours in ECE and a minimum of 20 hours continuing education, based on individualized professional development plan.
Compensation

$29.75 hourly wage
