Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is to install commercial security systems, including alarm, fire, CCTV, and access control solutions. This position operates with a degree of autonomy and may involve mentoring less experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute installations of commercial alarm, fire, CCTV, and access control systems.
  • Demonstrate the ability to guide, mentor, and instruct others.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and support.
  • Conduct training sessions for clients on system operation and features.
  • Perform system testing and verification of signals.
  • Manage inventory and maintain necessary equipment and tools.
  • Oversee new installations, upgrades, and system enhancements.
  • Utilize technical resources and materials efficiently to complete tasks.
  • Monitor task progress and ensure timely completion.
  • Submit all required documentation related to tasks and productivity promptly.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Undertake additional projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent vocational training.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial intrusion systems, fire safety systems, CCTV, intercoms, and access control technologies.
  • Familiarity with local and national codes.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug screening.

Certification Requirements:

  • Must obtain and maintain any necessary product certifications and licenses as mandated by local, state, and national regulations.
  • Proficiency in ADT's Tier 1 product offerings is required, ranging from 50% to 75%.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to various weather conditions, potential electrical hazards, and challenging work environments.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, twist, and use hands for various tasks.
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms, push, pull, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Visual abilities must include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color vision.
  • Ability to work in challenging positions, including ladders, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
  • Must be capable of lifting and moving items weighing up to approximately 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work a full-time schedule with on-call availability and travel on short notice.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle for extended periods during the day and evening.
