Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of this role is to install and maintain commercial security systems, including alarm, fire, CCTV, and access control solutions. This position requires minimal supervision and may involve mentoring and guiding junior technicians and trainees.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Install and configure commercial alarm, fire, CCTV, and access control systems.
- Demonstrate the ability to mentor, coach, and train others effectively.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and support.
- Provide customer training on system operations and features.
- Conduct system testing and signal verification.
- Manage and maintain inventory of necessary tools and equipment.
- Execute new system installations, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Organize and utilize technical resources and materials to ensure efficient task execution.
- Monitor and track the progress of assigned projects.
- Complete and submit all required documentation related to tasks and productivity in a timely manner.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Undertake additional projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Skills & Experience):
- High School Diploma or equivalent vocational training.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial intrusion, fire, CCTV, intercom, and access control systems.
- Familiarity with local and national codes.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug screening.
Certification/Licensing:
- Must obtain and maintain necessary product certifications and licenses as mandated by local, state, and national regulations.
- Requires proficiency in ADT's Tier 1 product offerings.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to various weather conditions, electrical hazards, and challenging work environments.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, twist, use hands, reach, push, pull, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must possess visual abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color vision.
- Ability to work in various positions and environments, including ladders, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
- Capable of lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be available for a full-time, flexible schedule with on-call responsibilities and travel on short notice.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle for extended periods.
