Los Angeles, California, United States EPIP Full time

About NCG: As a dynamic, growing membership organization, Northern California Grantmakers (NCG) brings the philanthropic community together to drive transformative change in historically marginalized communities. With a rich cultural legacy and commitment to social justice, NCG's membership comprises stakeholders across philanthropy, including program officers, board members, donor trustees, movement organizers, communicators, visionaries, advocates, dreamers, and believers. Since its inception as the Lunch Bunch in the 1960s, NCG has evolved into a formalized organization dedicated to supporting a base of philanthropic members. Today, it boasts 217 institutional members and over 4,000 individual members.

Ahead of the Curve: With three years of deepened commitment to advancing racial equity by refining the region's philanthropic practices, NCG finds itself at a critical juncture. A clear north star has been established, and strategic choices have been made, but additional guidance and thought partnership are needed to define the road forward. The VP will lead the organization's efforts to clarify further the implications of centering equity across programs, membership activities, and internal operations, guiding the institution towards greater impact in alignment with its strategic vision.

The Role: We seek an experienced, highly motivated individual to join our team as the Vice President for Equity and Justice. This visionary leader will spearhead the organization's initiatives to transform organizational cultures and programs to center racial equity and justice. Key responsibilities include clarifying the implications of centering equity, guiding the institution towards greater impact, and providing thought leadership on strategic visions.

Requirements: To excel in this role, you must possess a deep understanding of racial equity and justice principles, as well as experience in leading transformative organizational change. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to build coalitions and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. A proven track record of driving impact through strategic planning, program development, and capacity building is also crucial.

Salary: $145,000-$176,000 per year. We offer a comprehensive compensation package that includes benefits, opportunities for professional growth, and a supportive work environment. If you are a passionate advocate for racial equity and justice, and are committed to driving transformative change, we encourage you to apply.
