Salary

The expected salary for this role is $95,000. Compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law.

 

Job Description

As the Director, Community and Impact, you will oversee and advance our vision for community engagement and impact. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing New Processes: Establishing partnerships, leading, monitoring, and evaluating cross-departmental initiatives to drive cultural participation, broaden museum audiences, and foster cultural relevancy.
  • BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS: Cultivating strong relationships with community members, leaders, and organizations to prioritize local repeat audiences and create measurable contributions to the community.
  • DATA ANALYSIS: Developing, measuring, and reporting data analysis for community impact, including tracking participants and generating reports for stakeholders.
  • STAFF DEVELOPMENT: Engaging staff to develop their skills and expertise in community-building practices and projects.
  • MANAGING THE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT DEPARTMENT: Ensuring engagement initiatives and goals are met.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in community relations and community engagement at a non-profit organization or related organization.
  • 5+ years' experience working collaboratively and leading a team.
  • The ability to work effectively with diverse groups and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Strategic analysis capabilities to leverage research and set measurable goals.
  • Success in working with diverse communities, with the ability to cultivate existing relationships and establish new relationships.
  • Project management and planning skills with the ability to track deadlines and goals.
  • Experience budgeting and tracking spending.
