At Consultative Search Group, we are seeking a seasoned Strategic Accounting Director to lead our client's private equity fund management team in maintaining the financial integrity of various partnerships and accounts. This senior role requires a deep understanding of investment company accounting rules and a proven ability to analyze complex financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and complete books and records for pooled private investment funds, including separate accounts;
  • Account for cash, investments, and real property transactions, ensuring timely reconciliations;
  • Collaborate with the corporate actions team to review and account for complex corporate events;
  • Estimate and post monthly closing accruals, accurately allocating income and expenses to partners;
  • Determine and prepare distributions and draw-downs, ensuring compliance with governing documents;
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients;
  • Analyze performance metrics for partnerships/accounts and individual investments;
  • Cultivate relationships with independent auditors, custodians, prime brokers, and fund administrators.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7-9 or 10+ years of experience in accounting or audit, preferably within Big Four public accounting or a mix of public accounting and investment management industry experience;
  • Strong knowledge of reconciliation and account analysis, with excellent analytical skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with a solid understanding of accounting principles;
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA certification highly desirable.

We estimate the salary for this position to be between $130,000-$175,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location.
