The Senior Manager for Equity Finance Trading Technology plays a pivotal role in overseeing the technical delivery for the North American region while engaging with high-level stakeholders.
This position is integral to the wider Prime Services Technology team, collaborating closely with the Supply and Funding desks, Prime Finance Product, Product Development, and Quant teams to establish a cohesive technology platform agenda and ensure a premier service offering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate a comprehensive platform vision and strategy that aligns with Prime Growth, in collaboration with the trading desk and various technology units.
- Execute a robust agenda and provide regular updates to senior management and business leaders regarding team and project progress.
- Manage changes effectively with the necessary controls, documentation, and approvals, including the implementation of new regulatory reporting requirements.
- Facilitate the integration of functions, understanding client core business operations, and partner with senior management teams to achieve objectives and launch new products and process improvements.
- Address high-impact, high-profile challenges with significant business implications through thorough analysis of complex business and system processes, as well as industry standards.
- Engage and negotiate with senior leaders across various functions and communicate with external stakeholders as required.
- Contribute to the technical direction and strategic decisions as a subject matter expert throughout all development and implementation phases, delivering detailed analyses to identify issues and create innovative solutions.
- Oversee management activities, including resource allocation, mentoring, and other assigned duties.
- Evaluate risks in business decisions, ensuring the firm's reputation is upheld and that compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations is maintained, while applying sound ethical judgment in all business practices.
- Over 10 years of relevant experience.
- Expertise in Equity Finance or Securities Lending.
- Extensive knowledge of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Broad understanding of various technology domains.
- Strong interpersonal, management, and prioritization abilities.
- Proven track record of clear and effective written and verbal communication.
- Ability to thrive under pressure while managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
- Demonstrated capability to build working relationships and approach tasks methodically with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with a strong initiative to learn and master new skills quickly.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Master's degree is preferred.
