About the Role

Citi's Clean Energy Finance (CEF) team is seeking a highly skilled professional to join its origination desk to support tax equity and tax credit transfer mandates.

The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in originating, structuring, and executing financings across various renewable energy and sustainable technologies, including wind, solar, energy efficiency, and other emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of long-term, strategic partnerships with renewable energy developers, including clean energy tax equity investments.
  • Leverage experience in origination, financial analysis, and modeling to build a pipeline of tax equity projects.
  • Conduct detailed financial modeling to evaluate the cash flow profiles of tax equity investments, including tax benefits, projected returns, and risk assessments.
  • Implement strategic initiatives to enhance the bank's position in the tax equity and tax credit markets, including identifying new opportunities and expanding client relationships.
  • Collaborate with team members to structure and negotiate tax equity and tax credit transactions, ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with the portfolio management team to monitor project performance, tax credit generation, and portfolio returns.
  • Explore opportunities to repower and optimize existing portfolios of tax equity projects.
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management on business performance, market trends, and growth opportunities.
Qualifications
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience in evaluating financing transactions and structures.
  • Experience creating financial analyses and demonstrating problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience assisting with client development and ability to work with teams and track business development.
  • Series 7, 63, and 79 licenses.
Education

Bachelor's degree in Finance or a closely related area preferred.
