Position Overview:

The Nursing Supervisor (AD) plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating nursing operations during assigned shifts. This position requires a dedicated professional nurse who is committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise nursing units effectively during the assigned shift.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the department manager or nursing director.
  • Make necessary staffing adjustments to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Conduct regular rounds on nursing units, providing assistance as needed.
  • Address patient concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary.
  • Compile and submit shift reports as required.

Patient Care:
The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for delivering both direct and indirect nursing care to patients across various age groups, including:

  • Toddlers (Two to Four Years)
  • Children (Five to Nine Years)
  • Adults (19 to 69 Years)
  • Geriatric Patients (70 and Above)

Communication and Collaboration:
Utilize effective communication skills to interact positively with patients, families, medical staff, and nursing colleagues. Support the nursing division's philosophy, policies, and procedures while contributing to staff evaluations and goal-setting initiatives.

Quality Improvement:
Participate in the development and monitoring of quality improvement programs and engage in departmental and hospital activities. Maintain professional nursing organization membership and stay informed about current healthcare issues.

Qualifications:
Successful candidates will demonstrate strong clinical skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality, and a commitment to regulatory compliance. Participation in performance improvement activities and attendance at staff meetings are essential components of this role.
