Position Overview:
The Customer Relationship Specialist plays a vital role within a branch, fulfilling various responsibilities as necessary.

This role involves promoting bank products and services to satisfy the needs of both existing and prospective customers while delivering exceptional service aligned with the bank's objectives for growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

The Customer Relationship Specialist is accountable for the precise execution of customer transactions while ensuring courteous, prompt, and informative service that leaves customers completely satisfied.

Focus is placed on identifying client needs and providing customized solutions through a premier customer experience.



Key Responsibilities:


Sales: Collaborate with branch management to achieve or surpass individual targets. Build effective, trust-based relationships with clients by actively listening and uncovering their needs to gain a comprehensive understanding of their financial priorities, offering the most suitable products/services for their circumstances. Conduct sales initiatives to gather insights and drive business to the branch, including in-person or phone consultations with clients and potential clients, community engagement, etc.

Support marketing initiatives and product launches, adapting sales strategies and utilizing marketing tools and branch technology to achieve desired outcomes. Educate clients on self-service options and encourage the use of digital banking channels (e.g., smart ATMs, online and mobile banking, online transfers, digital wallets, etc.).


Operations: Ensure compliance with all bank policies and regulations to guarantee successful assessments and audits. Accurately execute teller transactions in accordance with Popular's policies and legal requirements. Assist in processing night depository bags and currency, as well as ATM settlements as necessary.
Customer Experience: Consistently perform sales and service activities by adhering to Popular's core values: professionalism, accountability, customer-centricity, and security. Foster an environment of ongoing customer feedback and continuous improvement. Effectively address customer requests to update or close accounts, determining the reasons for dissatisfaction and offering possible alternatives; process account maintenance in a compliant manner.
Risk Management: Assist in managing compliance functions, including reconciliations, audits (internal/external), reporting, controls, records management, approvals, and opening/closing procedures, ensuring strict adherence to security protocols. Collect, analyze, and secure all necessary documentation for successful account openings. Notify supervisors of any suspicious or questionable documents. Promote the branch's active involvement within the community and report all related activities to the appropriate unit. Proactively identify fraudulent or forged documentation and report such activities to the respective supervisors. Maintain confidentiality of customer information and comply with bank policies at all times.
Qualifications:
Minimum Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent, along with at least one year of demonstrated successful sales experience and six months of cash handling experience or equivalent related experience and training. NMLS registration; Safe Act compliant.

Salary Information:
Our base salary for this position generally ranges between $24.00 and $26.50 hourly, depending on business needs and your qualifications and experience. Base salary does not include incentive compensation, commission, or any other type of remuneration or benefits. Base salary may vary if the position is based in other geographic locations.
