Position Summary:

We are seeking a Market Business Development Lead who will collaborate closely with our US Living Practice Group Managers. This role demands a strong leader who is eager to expand our Living practice throughout the United States. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in the multi-family residential, hospitality, and student housing architecture sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement an annual business development strategy in partnership with the Global Practice Group Director and USA Practice Group Managers to drive growth.
  • Communicate and execute the outward-facing strategy across the United States.
  • Establish business development targets for the living market in collaboration with Practice Group Managers.
  • Work alongside USA Practice Group managers and our global Growth team to create marketing and business development strategies aimed at securing new projects.
  • Lead the team in crafting effective client capture plans and pre-marketing strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, both existing and prospective.
  • Formulate business cases, fee strategies, and risk assessments to support go/no-go reviews.
  • Guide the living team and marketing support in project pursuits, including RFQ and RFP analysis, proposal writing, and interview preparation.
  • Drive the strategy and content for external marketing communications, including events, media relations, and design awards.
  • Enhance the visibility of IBI Group's living practice within the industry.
  • Exhibit leadership by engaging in professional organizations that align with IBI Group's vision and values.
  • Implement global and national growth strategies in the marketplace.
  • Mentor and develop future leaders within our living studios, ensuring continuity in key client relationships.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Degree in Architecture or a related discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in architecture, particularly in healthcare.
  • In-depth knowledge of the multi-family and hospitality markets.

Preferred:

  • Professional registration.
  • Advanced credentials such as EDAC.
  • Familiarity with sustainable principles and LEED accreditation.
Compensation:

The salary range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
