About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled HRIS Benefits Specialist to join our team at Novus Group. As a direct hire employee, you will have full access to benefits and will be working Monday – Friday, daylight hours, with hybrid flexibility and in-office time required. The estimated salary for this position is $33.00 - $42.00 per hour as a new employee, with potential performance-based increases up to $55.00 per hour after hire.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the HRIS database, advising management on issues and trends related to system usage, applying systems knowledge and functionality to resolve complex issues, coordinating testing and implementation of upgrades, modifications, and customizations to the HRIS benefits application, creating data files for annual reports, management reporting, statistics, and ad hoc purposes, serving as the key contact with recordkeeper/administrator on data issues, electronic data transfers, employee inquiries, reporting requirements, and other plan administrative functions. They will also be responsible for assisting with training new department personnel, developing benefit communications, reviewing SPD changes, updating intranet and HRIS content, coordinating open enrollment programs, and ensuring compliance with IRS code, ERISA legislation, and tax law.

Requirements
To excel in this position, you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, a minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in employee benefits and/or retirement, with a focus on health and/or welfare plan administration, auditing, and compliance experience. Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) active certification is strongly preferred. Furthermore, proficiency with Microsoft Excel, particularly advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, filtering, and sorting, is essential.
