Salary Information
The estimated salary for this position is $33.00 - $42.00 per hour as a new employee, with potential performance-based increases up to $55.00 per hour after hire.

Job Description
Nested within the realm of human resources, the HRIS Benefits Specialist assumes a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient administration of welfare benefits via the Human Resource Information System (HRIS). This individual will be responsible for interpreting and ensuring compliance with the Summary Plan Description and applicable laws, contractual arrangements, and corporate policy. To excel in this position, one must possess a deep understanding of HRIS systems, specifically Oracle PeopleSoft, alongside expertise in data analysis, auditing, and compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications
A successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, a minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in employee benefits and/or retirement, with a focus on health and/or welfare plan administration, auditing, and compliance experience. Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) active certification is strongly preferred. Furthermore, proficiency with Microsoft Excel, particularly advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, filtering, and sorting, is essential.

Other Responsibilities
The HRIS Benefits Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the HRIS database, advising management on issues and trends related to system usage, applying systems knowledge and functionality to resolve complex issues, coordinating testing and implementation of upgrades, modifications, and customizations to the HRIS benefits application, creating data files for annual reports, management reporting, statistics, and ad hoc purposes, serving as the key contact with recordkeeper/administrator on data issues, electronic data transfers, employee inquiries, reporting requirements, and other plan administrative functions.
