Position Title: Fire Protection Fabrication Specialist

Role Overview: We are currently seeking a Fabrication Specialist for our fire protection systems division. This role involves the precise fabrication of piping systems essential for fire safety applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks, including cutting, threading, and inspecting pipes before they are prepared for installation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain various fabrication machinery.
  • Interpret and follow assembly guidelines accurately.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to ensure production goals are met.
  • Fabricate and assemble piping systems according to specifications.
  • Conduct thorough checks to confirm all components are present and accounted for.
  • Gather necessary tools and materials for fabrication tasks.
  • Measure and verify dimensions to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Address and resolve any production issues with support from management.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Report any discrepancies or errors in production processes.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read a tape measure with precision.
  • Dependability and a strong work ethic are essential.
  • Positive attitude and consistent attendance are critical for success in this role.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours as required.
  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Physical capability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, and walk for extended periods.
  • Must pass a drug screening as part of the hiring process.
