Position Title: Fire Protection Fabrication Specialist

Role Overview: We are currently seeking a Fabrication Specialist for our fire protection fabrication operations. This role involves the precise fabrication of piping systems essential for fire safety measures. The successful candidate will engage in cutting, threading, and weld checking of pipes, ensuring they meet stringent quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various fabrication machinery.
  • Interpret and follow assembly instructions accurately.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Fabricate and assemble piping components as per technical guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough checks of parts lists to confirm all components are available.
  • Assemble necessary tools and materials for fabrication tasks.
  • Measure and verify dimensions with precision.
  • Ensure all fittings and connections are secure and compliant.
  • Assist in troubleshooting production issues with management support.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Report any discrepancies in production processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
  • Dependability and strong attendance record are essential.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic are critical for success.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions meticulously.
  • Physical capability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, and walk for extended periods.
  • Must pass a drug screening as part of the hiring process.
