Position Title: Fire Protection Fabrication Specialist

Job Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated Fabrication Specialist to join our fire protection fabrication team. This role involves the precise fabrication of piping systems essential for fire safety installations. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting, threading, and performing quality checks on pipes before preparing them for deployment on various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various fabrication machinery with proficiency.
  • Interpret and follow assembly instructions accurately.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Fabricate and assemble piping components according to detailed instructions.
  • Review parts lists to confirm all necessary components are available.
  • Gather and prepare tools, materials, and components for assembly.
  • Measure and verify dimensions to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and resolve production issues with management support.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Report any discrepancies or errors in production processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and good attendance are essential.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours as required.
  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
  • Physical capability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, and walk for extended periods.
  • Must successfully pass a drug screening.
