POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Enterprise IT Solutions Engineer is responsible for maintaining the stability, integrity, and efficient functioning of advanced IT systems utilized by our organization and our clients. This role involves monitoring, supporting, and optimizing all network, server, and messaging-based IT infrastructures. The individual will take a lead role in IT projects and provide support to team members as needed.
REPORTING STRUCTURE: Reports to the Director of IT Services
DIRECT REPORTS: None
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the design and implementation of new technologies within large-scale systems by providing insights on design concepts, implementation methodologies, and deployment schedules.
- Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of software and IT systems to ensure they meet operational standards for security, performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Provide support and maintenance for internal IT data centers.
- Investigate current and emerging hardware and software technologies to assess their capabilities and cost-effectiveness, developing ongoing IT solutions that align with performance and budgetary goals.
- Generate comprehensive documentation of design specifications and system configurations.
- Coordinate and implement Azure and Private Cloud managed services.
- Conduct network and security evaluations, identifying areas for system enhancements and efficiencies.
- Document and escalate issues in accordance with ticketing protocols and service level agreements.
- Perform scheduled maintenance for both internal and client-based systems, both remotely and on-site.
- Follow departmental policies for reporting and managing change requests.
- Participate in an emergency on-call rotation.
- Support the development and implementation of Microsoft Azure and Private Cloud infrastructure.
- Engage in performance tuning for SQL, Hyper-V, and Software Defined Storage.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

- Proficient in designing, installing, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting:
- Microsoft Windows Server
- Microsoft Windows Active Directory and Azure Active Directory

- On-Premise Microsoft Exchange and Hybrid Cloud
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
- Microsoft Hyper-V and VMWare Clustered Environments
- Enterprise Anti-Virus solutions
- Enterprise backup solutions - Veeam, Storage Craft, Datto, Azure
- Knowledgeable in Enterprise Class Storage Solutions and Software Defined Storage
- Familiar with HP, Dell, and SonicWall hardware
- Understanding of 802.1Q VLANs and Traffic Prioritization

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant IT experience.
- Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft Azure Administrator
- Microsoft Azure Database Administrator Associate
- SonicWall Network Security Professional (SNSP)
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient use of computer and office equipment.
- Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
- Capable of performing all administrative functions expected at this level.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Availability for occasional evening or weekend work.
