Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our Horizon Platform and Creation Teams to develop new features and APIs that will unlock the full potential of our platform.
  • Design and implement end-to-end backend and gameplay features that will drive user engagement and retention.
  • Develop custom solutions that align with our Metaverse vision, including avatars, common identity, and integrity features.
  • Work as a full-stack developer, leveraging multiple coding languages such as TypeScript, C#, C++, and Hack.
  • Gain familiarity with multiple game engines, including Unity, Unreal, and proprietary engines.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the gaming industry, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in developing backend services for games and/or enterprise environments.
  • Experience in learning new approaches, coding languages, and Meta-specific solutions.
  • Strong understanding of game development and/or enterprise-scale infrastructure.
  • Experience with TypeScript, C/C++, and C#.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Shipped AAA Games or Large Enterprise Solutions.
  • Experience working with major game engines, including Unreal, Unity, and Godot.
  • Experience building supportable solutions that include proactive alerting, monitoring, and product metrics.
  • Experience with major cloud providers, including AWS and Azure.
  • Experience working with distributed computing platforms.
