Salem Health is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Surgery Coordinator to join our Cardiology Clinic team. As a key member of our surgical operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating surgeries and procedures, ensuring seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate surgeries and procedures with physicians and hospital staff, adhering to established hospital policies and procedures.
- Perform various clerical and record-keeping tasks related to patient surgery, procedure, and pre-operative testing.
- Instruct patients regarding surgery schedules, preparation, and insurance issues.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely communication.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of medical office experience.
- Minimum of one (1) year of EMR experience required.
- Proven experience processing referrals and thorough understanding of insurances, including medical policies and authorization processes.
