Job Summary:

As a key member of the Kaiser Permanente team, we are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our urgent care department. This is a unique opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive health care to patients of all ages, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of common acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, prescribing medications, and performing minor surgery.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and coordinate referrals to specialty services as needed.
  • Document all patient interactions and care in the electronic medical record, adhering to established medical and legal standards.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Minimum one year of experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or broad-based family practice within the last five years.
  • Current licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Oregon and Washington.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or broad-based family practice within the last five years.
  • EKG and X-ray interpretation experience.
