Nurse Practitioner

The Registered Nurse - Surgical PACU is a key member of the healthcare team, providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical recovery environment. As a skilled nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients recovering from surgery.
This role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless transitions of care and provide education to patients and families on post-operative care and management.
Essential Responsibilities:- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and monitoring patients' conditions.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
- Provide education to patients and families on post-operative care, management, and self-care techniques.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, adhering to Kaiser Permanente's quality standards and behavioral guidelines.
- Exhibit strong clinical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex patient needs and situations.
- Stay current with best practices, research, and evidence-based guidelines to provide optimal patient care.
- Provide evidence-based, clinically competent nursing care in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Plan, implement, manage, coordinate, and evaluate a plan of care across the care continuum.
- Facilitate member wellness and function, identifying needs for health care interventions.
- Utilize appropriate assessment tools, processes, clinical pathways, and guidelines to manage patient care.
- Recognize the impact of systems on healthcare delivery and facilitate coordination of care across all settings.
- Function within interdisciplinary teams, promoting coordination, mutual respect, and timely response to patient healthcare needs.
- Act as an advocate for individuals and groups with unmet health needs.
- Minimum two (2) years of RN experience in acute care or ambulatory care/clinic setting within the last five (5) years.
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
- Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided).
- Demonstrate clinical nursing and leadership skills.
- Able to type 20 words per minute.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
