About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Bariatric Surgery Clinic team at Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring seamless communication with patients and providers.
  • Provide administrative support, including greeting patients, taking vital signs, and updating medical records.
  • Work closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure timely execution of physician orders.
  • Assist with patient education and support, promoting a patient-centric approach to care.
Requirements
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Ability to safely lift and move patients, as well as perform other physical demands of the role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care.
