Job Title: Research Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Intern to join our team at the National Center on Sexual Exploitation. As a Research Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of research projects, including analyzing data, conducting literature reviews, and drafting research summaries.

About the Role:

The Research Intern will work closely with our team to conduct research on topics related to sexual exploitation, including the harms of pornography, prostitution, and sex trafficking. You will have the opportunity to develop your research skills, work with a passionate team, and contribute to the development of our research and advocacy efforts.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and literature reviews on topics related to sexual exploitation
  • Draft research summaries and talking point documents
  • Assist with coordination of special events
  • Develop educational materials and PowerPoint presentations
  • Assist with data collection and electronic filing of research studies
  • Represent NCOSE at conferences, meetings, and events as directed
Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a degree in public health or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with basic Microsoft Office applications

Compensation:

NCOSE internships are unpaid, but interns may be provided a small monthly stipend based on qualifications and hours in the office.

Schedule:

This position requires 24-40 hours per week. Candidates must be mostly available during NCOSE's office hours of Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm EST.
