As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for selling all Mercury products, generating interest in and closing programs & promotions, and providing world-class customer service to Mercury Dealers in the United States.
Key Responsibilities- Build direct relationships with dealers and work closely with and leverage the tools and resources provided to maximize opportunities and close sales gaps within the territories assigned.
- Contact customers through phone calls, email, mailings, fax, and webinars to communicate programs and policies that lead to sales.
- Upsell and cross-sell, suggesting product substitutes.
- Daily use of CRM tool to document and facilitate multiple aspects of the sales cycle.
- Monitor and learn marine market area information (products sold, competition, boat brands in the market, etc).
- Support retail sales activities to achieve maximum sales and market share.
- Collaborate closely with Business Development Managers and Regional Business Directors as well as cross-functional departments such as credit, supply chain, and distribution.
- Minimum 2 years sales and customer service experience.
- Problem-solving and ability to make decisions within policies and procedures is required.
- Must be success-driven, able to multi-task, and work well in a diverse team and enjoy a dynamic and changing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, phone presentation skills, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency with computer software applications (order entry, word processing, databases, and spreadsheets).
- Self-motivation to prepare and plan calls and execute sales goals.
- Ability to learn and explain sales programs and Mercury products.
