Position Overview:


The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate with the Director and VP of Supply Chain Finance to facilitate the formulation and execution of the annual budget, monthly forecasts, and strategic planning initiatives. This role involves leading the analysis and reporting of monthly operational outcomes for distribution centers in the US and Canada. The analyst will engage closely with department leaders to evaluate monthly performance metrics and enhance future forecasting accuracy. Furthermore, the analyst will provide analytical insights to business partners to bolster the company's operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Distribution division with monthly forecasting, reporting, and analytical support for the annual operating plan and strategic planning processes.
2. Conduct variance analysis to identify the causes of financial changes, focusing on distribution centers.
3. Deliver comprehensive, precise, and timely management reports in an easily digestible format, including total cost and cost per unit analyses for distribution business units and their supporting teams.
4. Collaborate directly with management and engineering teams at distribution centers to drive improvements in financial reporting and analysis, as well as policies, procedures, and documentation.
5. Provide ad hoc analytical support and undertake special projects as required.

Leadership Skills:


The successful candidate will possess the ability to indirectly guide managers and engineers regarding financial outcomes through effective verbal and written communication. They must demonstrate analytical prowess while comprehending and articulating overarching strategies. Building partnerships with various stakeholders at different organizational levels (VP, Director, Manager, Analyst) is essential.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- 3-5 years of experience in Finance or as a Business Analyst in a related sector
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet/modeling software; familiarity with PowerBI
- Experience with SAP or other financial/statistical software, along with financial databases
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and a disciplined approach to work with meticulous attention to detail
- Quick learner, adaptable to new tasks and objectives in a dynamic environment, with proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Proven experience in presenting financial data and detailed reports to management
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive financial information
