Job Summary:

Huggins Hospital is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant Float Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Assistant Float Specialist, you will provide clinical support to our healthcare team, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians and advanced practice professionals with patient care, including vital signs, medical histories, and laboratory tests.
  • Prepare patients for exams, procedures, and treatments, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Document patient information accurately and efficiently, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, providing clear and concise information.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • One to two years of experience in a medical setting, preferably as a Medical Assistant.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
