Controller Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Controller to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading the accounting and financial planning functions, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports, and driving business growth through strategic financial planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and evaluating necessary changes.
  • Monitor and adapt to changes in cost accounting practices.
  • Oversee and manage the annual budgeting and planning process in alignment with the Strategic Plan.
  • Manage fixed assets and prepare capital budgets.
  • Conduct research and implement strategies for cost reduction and process improvements.
  • Supervise inventory control and manage the physical inventory reconciliation process.
  • Maintain a strong track record of setting priorities, with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to facilitate sound decision-making.
  • Commit to training programs that align with and enhance both individual and organizational goals.
  • Work closely with State and Federal Agencies.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Manufacturing or related industry experience.
  • Management experience needed.
  • Hands-on experience as a Controller.
  • Cost exposure nice to have.
  • Audit start/background nice to have.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the existing team.
  • Ability to work independently as well.
  • Attention to detail and to perform multiple tasks at once.
