Job Title: Memory Care Director

About the Role:

The Memory Care Director is a key member of our senior living community, responsible for overseeing the Memory Care Program and ensuring the well-being, safety, and comfort of our residents. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills, as well as a passion for working with seniors with dementia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, and supervise memory care staff, including direct care associates and support staff.
  • Develop and implement specialized service plans tailored to the unique needs of each resident.
  • Collaborate with other department heads, family members, and care staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and services.
  • Provide coaching, counseling, and performance reviews to memory care staff.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies, organizations, and area healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in social work, nursing, psychology, gerontology, or related field.
  • Minimum two years' experience in a senior living environment, specializing in Alzheimer's and other dementia-related diseases.
  • At least one year of experience managing staff, including coaching, counseling, and progressive disciplinary action.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Computer knowledge, including MS Word, Excel, Publisher, and creative software.
