Job Overview

Opla Energy Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Equipment Technician to join our team in Houston, Texas. As an essential part of our operations, this role will be responsible for supporting the maintenance and repair of our Managed Pressure Drilling Products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on oilfield equipment, including chokes, valves, rotating heads, and other machinery.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in organizing equipment for shipment, coordinating transportation, and ensuring proper paperwork and documentation are completed.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Assemble, organize, and ship job packages, and assist with inventory control.
  • Facility Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized facility, including daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections.
  • Shop Operations: Maintain shop facilities and equipment, including forklifts, air compressors, pressure washers, and cranes.
  • Health and Safety: Conduct and document shop health and safety meetings, and work permits as required.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to work well in a team, and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
