Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal certification or equivalent experience is mandatory
- 3-5 years of experience in business immigration within a law firm, with a solid understanding of complex immigration issues
- Experience in preparing both immigrant and non-immigrant visa applications
- Proficient in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Familiarity with immigration case management systems (such as INSZoom)
- Strong computer skills with a quick learning ability for new software applications
Responsibilities:
- Drafts petitions/applications for various immigration matters (PERM, I-140, CP, AOS, Naturalization, H-1B, L, E-1/2, TN, O-1, J)
- Prepares responses to complex requests for evidence
- Oversees individual caseloads to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Conducts legal research and stays updated on immigration law changes
- Handles various administrative responsibilities; maintains case management database, and manages client communications
- Generates and maintains reports as required
- Contacts USCIS and U.S. consulates/embassies to schedule visa appointment interviews
- Assists with client intakes and prepares submissions to immigration offices
- Coordinates with government agencies (DOL, USCIS, NVC) to resolve issues as needed
- Supports other departmental activities and performs additional duties as assigned
