Description

As a Case Manager Level 2, you will provide case management and supportive services to unaccompanied immigrant children released from federal custody. This role requires a client-centered and trauma-informed approach to service provisions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct home visits and phone contacts to assess the safety and appropriateness of the child's placement with their caregiver (sponsor) and connect the child to services in the community to address risk factors.
  2. Ongoing case management focuses on screening and making appropriate referrals to address the child's needs in the following domains: Placement issues, safety issues, education, health, mental health, legal/immigration proceedings, substance abuse, independent living, criminal/juvenile justice, and child enrichment activities.
  3. Conduct age-appropriate comprehensive assessments in a child-centered, trauma-informed manner and document in an online case management system.
  4. Provide crisis intervention services directly, as needed, or connect family to services to ensure minor's safety and well-being in a crisis situation.
  5. Establish, enhance, and maintain liaison relationships with key government agencies and non-profits/community organizations.
  6. Comply with policies and procedures governing the program and ensure that the program is operating at maximum efficiency.
  7. Meet or exceed program productivity expectations on a regular and sustained basis.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience relevant to the position and working with vulnerable or migrant populations; 3 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Spanish/English (written and spoken language skills).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential material in a responsible manner.
  • Able and willing to travel domestically up to 60% of the time.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, sociology, or other behavioral sciences equivalent.
