Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Financial Operations to join our team at Hospice of the Foothills. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing our financial systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Management
    • Develop and implement effective financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to ensure the organization's financial stability and growth.
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance
    • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including financial reporting and tax requirements.
  • Financial Systems and Processes
    • Develop and maintain effective financial systems, including accounting, payroll, and benefits administration.
    • Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Leadership and Collaboration
    • Provide strategic financial guidance and support to the Executive Director and other members of the leadership team.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Four-year degree in accounting or business administration, and five years of experience in financial management, preferably in a non-profit organization.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting requirements.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
