Role Overview:
As a vital component of our guests' experiences, our volunteer coordinators play a key role in leading full-day excursions while fostering a sense of community throughout the holiday. Your primary responsibilities will involve managing volunteer relations through email and phone communication, ensuring their success, and facilitating their recognition.
- Recruiting a diverse team of volunteer leaders and special interest guides for each holiday, ensuring all roles are filled.
- Responding to inquiries, managing calls, and addressing emails from volunteers and special interest leaders.
- Providing ongoing support and engagement for our leaders.
- Recognizing and appreciating our leaders' contributions; motivating them to excel.
- Proactively addressing performance issues and handling sensitive matters.
Essential Skills:
- Strong work ethic with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to cultivate trusting relationships with leaders.
- Positive attitude and adaptable approach.
- Capability to meet tight deadlines while prioritizing tasks and responding promptly to emerging issues.
- Willingness to work occasional weekends and evenings to connect with our leaders.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Prior experience in volunteer management.
