**Job Summary**
Chubb is seeking a highly skilled Senior Claim Examiner-Med Risk to join our Medical Risk team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling medical risk claims with expertise and professionalism.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide exceptional customer service and work closely with insureds, brokers, and third-party administrators to adjust medical risk claims.
- Review policies and documents to confirm coverage and communicate coverage positions as needed.
- Analyze coverage and communicate coverage positions, as warranted, under the direction of a supervisor and coverage unit.
- Conduct investigations into loss facts and extent of third-party damages.
- Direct and closely monitor assignments to experts and defense counsel.
- Evaluate information on coverage, liability, and damages to determine the extent of exposure to the insured and the company.
- Set reserves within authority or make claim recommendations concerning reserve changes.
- Interact with business partners, insureds, and directly with claimants and counsel.
- Travel to conferences, mediations, and trials as necessary.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 4 years of casualty claims handling experience; healthcare/medical risk liability preferred.
- Law degree or equivalent business experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and assimilate learning materials on many different subjects from various sources.
- Excellent interpersonal communications and negotiation skills; and an ability to deal with customers and business partners in a professional manner.
- Ability to deliver high-caliber customer claim service to a sophisticated client base.
- Ability to make prompt, intelligent decisions based upon detailed analysis of complex issues.
- Demonstrated strong relational skills particularly in adverse or high-pressure situations.
